It starts officially tomorrow, Friday, February 5th, the operation "Del Monte^® Italian Cup Final Four 2016" for Diatec Trentino. Around 10:30 am, the Italian champions will meet at PalaTrento to leave for Assago, place they will reach by bus at 1.00 pm.
In the evening the first contact with the Mediolanum Forum, facility where Trentino Volley set foot in just less than a year after the previous occasion (regular-season race of Super League 2014/15 - Milan vs. Trento 1-3 on February 8th, 2015). Being number three on the standing board, the Yellow-blues will train in the huge Milan’s facility on Friday: Radostin Stoytchev and Dario Simoni will direct a technical-tactical session lasting about ninety minutes between 7.30 pm and 9.00 pm, after Sir Safety Conad, DHL and Cucine Lube Banca Marche will have already done the same previously.
The team for the ninth Final Four of Italian Cup in the history of the Company of via Trener will be made by the whole squad of thirteen players and by the technical staff, physician and management in full force. On the last day before the transfer to Lombardy, the team has only sustained an afternoon session divided into two groups in PalaTrento: weights and technique to those who played less on Wednesday evening against the CMC Romagna, only physical and work and unloading all other .
"Despite the negative result of the last game, we know our value and at the same time, we are aware to be able to play on par with everybody”- explained the libero Massimo Colaci at the microphone of Radio Dolomiti. -”The favorites are others and I refer to Modena and Lube; they are not in front of us in the standings for the event but we have already beaten both and we are convinced to be able to redo it. Of course, the defeat against CMC has left us a lot of anger, but fortunately we have the opportunity to redeem immediately. In the last edition of the Italian Cup we got to the final; our goal is obviously to stay in the running for the event again on Sunday, and improve the outcome of Bologna."
At the Mediolanum Forum of Assago the Company of via Trener has already played a total of five official matches, including two finals; the most pleasant memory is definitely linked to the previous of Italian Cup 2013 (on December 30th, 2012, a 3-1 victory over Macerata), which partly erased the disappointment related to the V-Day 2012 (on April 22nd, 2012, lost at tie-break always against Lube). In the Assago facility were played also Cuneo vs. Trento 3-0 (on February 2nd, 2002, the Italian Cup semi-final), Trento vs. Vibo Valentia 3-0 (on December 29th, 2012 - semi-final Cup Italy 2013) and, as already mentioned, the previous more fresh but also less meaningful Milano vs. Trento 0-3 (on February 8th, 2015 in regular season).
